May is starting off with a bang. My weather has been everything from almost summer back into full-blown winter (got to love my state…) so I’ve been being kept on my toes attire wise for the past few days. The good news is winter should be mostly on its way out, so summer clothing will become more of a norm instead of mostly a fluke.
But on to book stuff.
The Dangers With Allies came back from my editor yesterday. There is some work to be done, but overall the feedback was extremely positive (recall this is a new editor) and she said she really liked the story. As she hasn’t read the first two and I didn’t get the impression that she was confused with my mass of characters, I’m realllllly hopeful everyone will like this latest part of Z’s journey.
Of course, now I have to through the edits, make corrections where required, and once that’s done, I still have to send the manuscript off to get formatted. Oh, and I need a blurb. Those are not, for the record and the sake of honesty, my strong suit. Or my favorite.
I’m still hopeful for a June release date, but it will just depend on how things play out. Should things change at all though, I will be quick to post updates.
I put a pin in my possible new project for the time being, as I really want to focus on this book until it’s live and then we’ll see where things go from there. I’m also toying with the idea of a contest in the semi-near future of my summer, so keep an eye out for that as well!
